Both floors in Vietnam suffered a significant downturn in the past week, mostly attributed to the fuel price increase policy recently released by the government. The VNINDEX declined 11.09% w/w to 429.06. The trading value fell significantly—24.1% w/w to US$ 131.2MM. The Hanoi floor followed suit with the HAINDEX tumbling 5.9% w/w to close at 140.85. The trading value on the HASTC decreased 4.6% to US$ 63.8MM. Foreigners remained net buyers on the HOSE and the HASTC with US$ 36.4MM and US$ 2.7MM, respectively.
