BVSC recommend HOLD for KDC stock with the target price of 30,100 VND/share, representing a premium of 8.3% to the price on September 25th , 2012. 2012 is the time for KDC to restructure its business. BVSC think that the company has provided some solutions, which will increase its effectiveness in the future, such as:
(1) reducing financial investments to focus on the core business,
(2) concentrating on the product groups, which bring high revenue and profit,
(3) developing new products to take maximum advantage of its brand and distribution network. However, more and more competition in confectionery threatens to reduce KDC’s market share. Moreover, a lot of bad news is at the forefront in the securities market; so, BVSC will not recommend buying KDC at its present price.
