Tóm tắt:
|
In 3Q2009, Vietnam’s GDP growth of 5.2% yoy was already close to Asia ex Japan’s (AEJ) average economic growth levels (5.3%). Meanwhile, investment, consumption and import growth have all reversed the sharp slowdown and have rebounded since 2Q2009, as CPI inflation stabilized around low single-digit levels in yoy terms. In addition, the government has kept some fiscal stimulus in place while keeping monetary policy largely accommodative. We consider the growth rebound and the overall policy stance as inductive for Vietnam to return to a higher growth rate, if the government manages to contain the macro instability risk from inflation and deterioration of the balance of payments position.
