• The October CPI increased slightly but remained higher than the average August CPI. In our view, the effect of increases in the health and education groups was probably reflected in the last two months’ inflation.
• The deadline for credit institutions to mobilize gold contracts was extended to 30 June 2013. It was considered a tradeoff by the SBV with the priority of ensuring liquidity for banking system.
• The money market was stable while there were rumors about Mr. Dang Van Thanh. Thanks to immediate support from the SBV, liquidity in the banking system was stable.
